Indian, U.S. navies conduct P-8 training at Diego Garcia

Airmen from the U.S. Navy’s Patrol Squadron (VP) 4, known as “The Skinny Dragons,” and the Indian Navy’s Air Squadron 316, “The Condors,” carried out a bilateral training detachment at the U.S. Navy Support Facility in Diego Garcia from October 23–24, 2025.

The exercise focused on antisubmarine warfare (ASW) and maritime domain awareness, aimed at enhancing coordination and operational understanding between the two navies. Through this combined detachment, U.S. and Indian crews refined their interoperability and strengthened maritime security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
