Radescan UAV detection and countermeasure system

The video introduces the Russian Radescan UAV detection and countermeasure system, designed to protect critical infrastructure from drone threats. It explains how the modular Radescan complex can detect, track, and neutralize small unmanned aerial vehicles used for surveillance, smuggling, or attacks. The stationary version shown in the video uses radar sensors operating in multiple frequency ranges to detect drones at distances between one and seven kilometers. Mounted optical and thermal cameras provide day and night visual tracking, allowing operators to monitor up to 250 targets simultaneously. Once detected, the system jams a drone’s navigation and control channels, forcing it to lose communication with its operator. The video notes that Radescan can function in all weather and light conditions and can be configured as a mobile, portable, or stationary system. Future segments, the narrator adds, will feature additional configurations, including a land-based mobile version.
